Loquax is a well known big competition site , i have advertised competitions on there before for free and had alot of new vistors to my website and ebid shop as a result

I have also noticed with loquax once its on there alot of the users post it elsewhere .

Well if as I suspect that refers to a pint & a half of milk, then your age is showing!!

This is an idea more for the site as a whole rather than individuals.....bus tickets. Occassionally in Birmingham we get special offers featured on the back of bus tickets. The most common users of this seem to be a fast food outlet that used to feature a clown in their ads. Not sure if it is done nationally or if you could target specific areas.

Has anyone else researched advertising which would run for a short time- but have a big reach? For example if ebid were running a competition with a big cash prize we would want to let our target audience ( e.e people whho use online shopping venues) to see the competition details for the duration of the competition.

Where do our competitors advertise? Where do you see their banners? We have the same target audience and they've already done the market research. Let's find out what it coost to advertise on the online sites they are advertising on.

Most of the big competition sites allow free links if the competition is worthwhile, only problem is they target the kind of people who do online competitions every day. I've also contacted a few magazines, but anything like that can be picked up through, you got it, press releases
