Just added my vote. Like a few others I buy and sell so wish I could tick two boxes. I dont post too often in the forums but always stop by for a read, I find by the time I have caught up on all the gossip I dont get round to what I wanted to do - list new items and snap up a few bargains
So really I guess I should tick the top three (if listening in on the conversations count as chatting LOL).
OOpps side tracked again I was meant to be sorting out some YDC auctions, now I know why my school report always said 'easily distracted'

We trade on the internet, thats the other half and me no longer young and well enough to travel, use to be bit like a tramp steamer up and down the country.
We to get large number of views but little conversion to sales trying to work out why,
Do you think its because paypals buyer protection is not prominent on here(Whether you like paypal or not it does seem to be the preferred method of payment)? in most transactions.

Hi Bearsden, I don't claim to be an expert (and am definitely not!) but I've seen many sellers put a link on their auctions which encourages/helps people browsing to sign up to eBid. It can be your buddypoints link or affiliate link.
Also, I think it helps to actually state how to pay on your auctions.
Well, anything that helps ease the buying process I guess.

Hello Artlandish thanks for info re my link to Dudleys collectables,I had been trying to improve things with my logo but have only succeeded in messing up what I had got already,but thinks have got the link working again.
One thing we always do is when we sell and item elsewhere on our compliments slip is our user ID for E Bid together with the EBID website details.so hopefully that will bring in some buyers,who know they have a trusted seller.
Which I think is now becoming a major problem only the other day I wanted a garden Vac but at £50.00p decided I did not want the risk of getting ripped off so paid more using credit card to a proper company plus ordered 3.00pm courier knocking on my door 11.00am next day with garden vac for me.
