I can't believe the bargains I've had here and defy anyone to say it was cheap tat, cheap rip offs or dodgey stock. It's all been great stuff sadly overlooked by people who could be saving themselves a fortune this Christmas In fact, thank you for that little piece of inspiration, it has just prompted another madcap loco-promo Cheers toadie.

    My problem...

What's the point of a sales drive if it actually means we all just pick the bones out of each other?

I can afford to put in a £1 bid on all the current 1NR items for sale but I won't because I know I'd win most of them!

Does anyone know what the most amount of bids were against one of these auctions so far?

From experience there are some traders who relish "sales drives" like this, buy all the stock and then sell it on elsewhere for a fat profit.

Personally I'm happier knowing I'm selling a good choice of items at a competitive price.

I'm sorry but this just seems like a bit of a gimmick that's going to get you nowhere fast
I have to agree But At least you've got to try!

Quite right too Red and if I'm not prepared to actively join in with a promotion I shouldn't really be commenting on it - "put up or shut up" I think is the phrase.

Instead I shall be an interested observer on the sidelines this time around, keep my gob shut and wish all the sellers taking part every success. If it works out for you then great especially if it leads to some new sign-ups.

I had my first sign-up the other day through one of my auction links...very gratifying when that happens.

This kind of event is one of those that eBid should really be promoting...maybe the PR company could get some stories out about 1NR and YDC.
It really shows the community spirit of this site and how we can organize these fun promotions ourselves. Its something i believe that FeeBay has lost, the whole place is turning into big faceless shops selling new items...I think thats the direction eBay want to go in and it's a great shame.

That's why I'm supporting events like 1NR...it may not be a big money spinner but it continues to strengthen our community and shows new buyers/sellers just what an excellent place it is to be a part of

I agree; and it isn't just the new buyers that we want to attract, the buyers that have already visited the site would be welcome back.
