Thread: Seller has tried to sell me pirate dvd's

  1. #1

Default Seller has tried to sell me pirate dvd's

Got an message sent thru the ask seller a question system from:

    a1qualitydvds

    it says:

Question : Hi, Sorry for the forward approach but I thought you may be
interested to know I can offer the Latest DVD titles at only £2.99
each on FULLY PRINTED DISCS in retail PERFECT QUALITY!! Included are
the latest releases and titles BEFORE they are released as well as
the latest TV series. Also with your 1st order choose any 1 DVD FREE!
Payment is made through Paypal (which is verified) for your
convenience. For full list with printed discs samples please send
    your email address to: ...

I can supply over 1000 titles including the following: (in PERFECT
    QUALITY!)

    RATATOUILLE - PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3 - 3:10 TO YUMA -
TRANSFORMERS - SHREK THE THIRD – 1408 - THE SIMPSONS MOVIE - PLANET
TERROR – OCEANS 13 - THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM - KNOCKED UP - EVAN
    ALMIGHTY - SURF'S UP - HOSTEL 2 HARRY POTTER & ORDER OF PHOENIX -
CHUCK AND LARRY - STARDUST, Etc, Etc!!!

Although I am not against piracy as such (I make copies of discs that both me and my partner rent and borrow but only for our own use) I do object to people selling pirate copies for profit. And this is why I have posted this message here. I believe that we should endeour to keep ebid free from pirate copies as this, if we can manage it, would be an additional selling point for ebid over the arch enemy ebay.

If that was a message posted as a question on one of your auctions- it's spam.
report the spammer to ebid. You can get rid of their question by adding the user to your blackball list and ticking to remove any questions

    Hi,
yes I got the message as a question about an auction I am running. I assumed the seller was a registered ebid seller and posting here would alert ebid about there auctions. i havnt checked to see what they are selling on ebid.
