The super sell-out challenge!

OK, here is the next Cyberdosh loco-promotion.... it's guaranteed to be a 'sellout'!

I am looking for a handful of crazy eBid sellers who will take part in my next crazy sales exercise. Guaranteed to be fun and guaranteed to promote eBid and your eBid stores. I'm counting myself in on this one, as I see no point in not practicing what I preach. It's also so I can find out first hand if, and how, this will work.

Yes, it is another challenge - it's the sellout challenge!

I want a maximum of 6 volunteer sellers (5, as I'm in) to offer items with the 'NYK' code in the title (I'm pinching the idea from YDC), and then we are going to compete in the sell-out stakes. It's all about selling and bargains - what can you find to offer during this special sell-out extravaganza?

Anyone who participates will have their links included in a special page and featured in the next newsletter. The object of the game is to completely sell out of your bargains. All's fair in bidding and selling, so let's see what extreme bargains can be listed. 10 items, any category, any price, any method of listing and the only rule of promoting is - no rules! (Items must comply with eBid listing policies and marketing ploys must remain within the law.)

Start date to be arranged, winner is first to sell all items entered. Prize - who knows? I don't know! Ideas and suggestions to be debated here in order to improve on the success rate.

Just to be sure we have to list 10 items and that is the only real rule of the no rules except the normal eBid and legal rules --- is that right?

When the sell out starts, any method of listing is permissible, all you have to do is list 10 bargain items that include the code NYK in the title, so we can pic them up in the eBid search and link up from our own site.

We'll have a start date and then run the challenge until the first person manages to sell all 10 items and gain the necessary feedback to validate their sales. If there's enough interest, we could make it 10 sellers with 10 items each, so we have exactly 100 bargain buys. The overall 'sell out' won't end until everyone has sold everything.

Any form of listing is allowed - front page, featured, gallery, free, 60 minute, anything goes, as the object of the exercise is answer a few simple questions regarding selling techniques. I'll even do e-interview s with all contenders before, during and after the challenge so we can publish the findings, so that means extra FREE publicity right away for whoever takes part.

Any input is most welcome - we're open to suggestions on how to improve and increase the number of fun challenges on eBid and hoping (I said, HOPING) that the eBid management can maybe find it in their hearts to offer top eBidders some form of extra incentive during this important development phase of the site.
