How does £430,000 + vat per week sound? That's my rough approximation for a national campaign of bus stop advertising, and it's normally priced by the fortnight, so close on a £million for 2 weeks hanging in bus shelters.

Advertising in public toilets in shopping centres - estimated £50,000 + vat per week
Advertising in public toilets in service stations - estimated at £55,000 + vat per week
Advertising in nightclubs nationwide - estimated £92,000 + vat per week
Advertising on beermats, 4000 pubs - estimated £24,500 + vat per week

How many more quotes would you like? At the end of the day, most advertising is a complete waste of money. Yes, it keeps a name in the public eye, but at the expense of the consumer. There is no way eBid, as a private company, could offer all these free services we have here if they had to participate in mass media advertising. The phrase, 'commercial suicide' once again springs to mind.
