Ach, you're always blaming me for something. I just got a stack of little boxes (from REDNOSTY!!!!) and am going to make up mystery gifts... might even put a choccie in one for next YDC, who knows?
Absolutely ANYTHING (within legal limits and laws of decency!) with your store name and/or www.eBid.net written on it is good publicity. I keep leaving my pens lying around and will need to get more soon, at this rate. Have you any idea how many people ask for a loan of one in the cyber-centres in libraries??!!

    Chocolate? Did someone mention chocolate?

But seriously, chocolate is an interesting idea to help promote eBid! (Who doesn't like chocolate?)

Another good one is to get a 'TinyURL' for your eBid 'Store' address, and then write it on scraps of paper. Then, when you're out, leave them in the places suggested by NYK.

There's some people out there, that are so curious, they'll just have to type in the URL when they get home. (I'm not sure it'll generate more sales, but it's highly amusing to watch these bits of paper disappearing into pockets after being scrutinised ). - Gosh I'll have to get a hobby! .

    All the best, Simon
