    Lightbulb Ambitious Sales Drive

We are just about to enter the second half of 2007 and it is time for serious sellers to start preparing for the BIGGEST spending period in our society.

I have read many postings, both here and elsewhere, accusing eBid of a lack of advertising and I would just like to say that paid advertising is not the be all and end all of a successful business. It can, in fact, be the downfall.

I have a simple plan that, if implemented correctly, can, and will, generate sales. If I can provide a few tips and open them for discussion and/or scrutiny on here, is anyone interested in taking part?
Call it an experiment, a marketing campaign, a promotional drive, a worldwide advertising campaign, call it whatever you like - just let me know if you are serious enough about selling to take part.

Oh, and I should add that it will cost you nothing. Yes, that's right, everything will be FREE - free research, free marketing, free promotions, free advertising, free to generate sales.

Before I 'dish', you all need to 'fish'.

Not until the following has been achieved can you begin to follow the step-by-step plan to achieving more sales.

    1) Early, basic research

    Google
    Lycos
    Yahoo
    Alta Vista

Use the above 4 as your basic research facilities - all four, not just one. There are plenty more to choose from if you would prefer to name them here so we can compare.

Go to each in turn and type your eBid username into the search boxes. Make yourself familiar with what the world can see about you as an eBid seller.

If you use the same username on several sites, everything should show up in the one place.

Well in the words of Floyd

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here.

    Afternoon all!

If it's Free, count me in NYK . I'll watch this space with interest.

I've just searched my User name on the four 'big' search engines, and it's interesting to note that the references to 'eBid' are before 'the other one' , on all except Lycos. The search results are not in alphabetical order then either , otherwise 'the other one', would be before 'eBid'.

One of the search engine results stated that I'm not a member of any eBid Groups. Maybe we ought to start one called 'Determined-to-make-a-sale-Sellers'! LOL!

    Best wishes, Simon.

Maybe, I'm being thick, but to have your user name wouldn't people already know about ebid?
