Damp houses will need to be dried out, so you'll definitely want a dehumidifier like this or this.

Or if the power goes off, how will you keep up-to-date with the news or see where you're going? You'll need one of these torch/radios.

But if you do get wet, or even just if you have to leave home in a hurry, you may be really glad of a little warmth. These foil blankets are real life savers.

For injuries, you could do worse than keep one of these medical kits around.
