Could we please have a section named crochet under crafts . And not under needlepoint which is totally different from crochet ! Thanks

There is a section on crochet but its under 'sewing and embroidery' which to me is totally the wrong place for it.

It should have its own cat under 'Crafts and Sewing'

I would Crochet to be on its own too (away from Sewing and possibly Knitting). It's a craft on its own.

Right... this thread is now out of date. Crochet was moved from under sewing and embroidery (where it definitely doesn't belong) to a category headed knitting & crochet - so many pattern books have both in them - under that heading there is a separate one for crochet. Yarns are a category on their own, because they can be used for either (and for other crafts as well). The Crochet sub cat is split up - including a section for yarn, which allows for those specialist threads. Is that not ok?

Just to tack sideways on this - where would I list fine crochet table decorations, place settings, runners, dressing table sets etc - if they are new? (ie not vintage collectables or antiques) - I also have cafe curtains and blind trims on occasion.

Perhaps there could be a subsection in Homes & Gardens> decorative?

I think that handmade items need to move out from Crafts, a category for those who do crafts rather than those who buy the completed items. They would move in there then?
