Thread: Can you identify her?

  1. #1

    Default Can you identify her?

I was told that this figure belonged to my grandparents, (they married in 1920) I know there were originally two of them a boy & a girl, but the boy got broken years ago. She is about 9 inches high.

Other than the hair & her hat, the back of the figure is just white,
at the bottom of the back is stamped what looks like
S12174DEP, can anyone tell me more about her?

I used to suggest that for antiques or collectables that people should try the BBC antiques message boards. However they are all being closed & the majority have gone over to a new forum,http://www.fogboundworkshop.co.uk/antiqueforum/
I joined last night & the people there are very similar to here;very friendly.

Looks staffordshire, the white back would probably indicate that it is a "flatback", again with my post on the other topic, pop along to your locak dealer, or auction house and ask if its a original or reproduction
