".", "/" and "-" now have blanks added in titles (after 4.0!)

I reported a while ago in http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=92332 that "." was getting blanks added after it in titles. Has 4.0 been implemented (see quote below), as all of ".", "/" and "-" now get blanks added?

Sorted in 4.0 coming tonight.

I think the blank after "-" is actually post-redesign, and makes even normal English hyphenation impossible, so "Office-compatible" becomes "Office- compatible", and "Cat-A-Pult" becomes "Cat- A- Pult", which looks awful.
