Let's Hear From Stamp Collectors/Dealers

Hi all,
I joined eBid some time ago but have been sort of treading water, neither selling nor buying. I list some Newfoundland and other country stamps on "that other site" from time to time, but I'm toying with the idea of opening a store here. I've read some of the posts in the Selling thread so I know I'll have to work hard to get buyers to look.
I'd like to know your experiences, what's hot in stamps etc.

Hello Rick, I would like to help but I have got around to listing more than a few items in stamps so far, but I have noticed a few stamps sold appearing on the front page regular, so I think there is interest in this area.

I have my sons old stamp collection...and there are dozens..in fact hundreds of stamps. Lots of them he has obviously bought and in new condition...others are a bit grotty ( well to my eye).
I don't know the first thing about stamps or stamp collecting so have no idea about how to go about listing them.
Where would I be able to look to find out what stamps are what and how much they are worth?
