according to that rule no one can put any info in their listing that may divert them to a third party website, so i cant put say a specification link if i was advertising a laptop for sale or some kind of technical equipment, i would have to break copyright laws and cut and paste the info to my auction listing. mmmm seems kinda wrong.

i understand not link to site that offers another way to buy, but offering a site that promotes ebid and providing links for other ebid store holders to promote thier ebid sales seem to be one listing that ebid should be working hard to keep.

maybe they could better spend thier time at ebid support trying to pull all the auctions selling fakes, copies and plainly scams that get reported everyday.

FREE LINKS EFFECT - ALMOST

If your store is listed then you are in the May edition of 'Now You Know'. Deletions have been made because I only have space for the best, so... keep up your listings and promote those bargains.

Anyone who is doing similar promotion is welcome to copy/paste the list to their own links section... list is in my 'plug your auctions' thread so as not to upset anyone

It is under constant review and the crew are going to be rounded up and sent online for research purposes - if a store is recommended to us, then it could make it into our 'charts'

After much thought and deliberation (and hearing the thoughts of a newcomer to eBid ) I have reopened this thread for further development of the promotional ideas. Needs must!

At the risk of causing some unrest, I have decided to reopen this thread. However, having deleted many of my previous posts, I now need to add the following for information purposes...

We check all the nominated stores periodically to make new additions and to remove from our chart those that fall into any of the following categories:

1. Stores that have dropped below a minimum number of items
2. Sellers accruing disproportionate negative feedback
3. Overpriced goods or exceedingly high postage & packaging charges
4. Stores listing banned items
5. Otherwise 'stagnant' stores

I was quite amazed by the revelations of some of the newest members I have introduced here and it is in response to one particular remark that this thread has reopened.

If you are serious about promoting your eBid store and genuinely want to succeed then this is the thread for you. Good luck to all who participate and thank you to all who have continued to support us in our campaign to help make eBid 'THE' place to be online.

Let's just say that five stars didn't mean the same as it does when used to describe a hotel. My whole idea of running a Top 100 chart of the best eBid stores fell at the first hurdle. I'm hoping we can salvage it to produce the Top 40
