I have asked for this account to be closed and ebid claim to have closed it in the message below. Yet it is not closed. Why do you lie about so much. I guess you do not want me telling others they have a right to compain about your Spam.

Closed?.... Really? Another lie
ARE YOU CONNECTED WITH EBAY?
Flashman, Ken does not work for eBid (nor do I, we are both sellers on this web-site.
I think you will find that eBid get paid for dropping that and other links into their mailings and that your e-mail address has not been compromised. (Why would it have been? A link can be added to an e-mail or message without the receiver's details leaving the computer it was generated in).
The links are one of the ways that eBid keep the costs down, otherwise they would be much higher.
Your account has been closed, if you in-put your name in a username search it comes up with a strike-through. This as you have found out does not prevent you from using the forums.
If eBid were connected to greedbay they would have been swallowed up long ago as have other sites that were bought out.
I hope you reconsider and stay with us.

Could someone let me know how i can close the account. Thanks
You didn't receive spam. you received an email with your ebid password which happened to have an advertisement on it. so on that point I disagree with you.
However where I agree is that a dating site is a downmarket type of advertising which as a serious seller here, I would prefer wasn't associated with ebid.
Advertising links on legitimate emails? In my experience this is the 'norm' and is no more 'spam' than the flyer you find in the same envelope as your bank statement.
However is this advertisment appropriate for ebid as a sales venue? I'd say no.
A couple of useful pointers for new users.

hi all come someone tell me how i update my credit card,as its a new one i need to change my other on my account.thanks tracie
Guys, I can't understand why you are witholding this option from the basic seller account - surely it is good news all round if someone buys something.
I am an eBay seller, considering your site as an alternative. Naturally I want to dip my toe in the water first. I also understand that feedback needs to be built up gradually.
I want to sell items with buy it now.
Problem: I have zero feedback as I have just registered. I know this makes me an unattractive proposition to buyers - so I don't want to waste my time listing 10 items to get the eBay equivalent value of 10 listings for my £1.99 for 7 days.
I hope you at least make the Buy It Now feature an optional add on function. Why not charge basic seller accounts £0.05 for this option?
Gazza, I have been burned several times on this website by sellers who don't accept paypal. I have lost money and never received my items. Now I find myself ( by fault of my own) for not paying attention, in the same position. I have bid on something and they don't use PayPal as payment. How can I retract my bid?
