Despite the price i think the wii will come out and find its way in the place where the atari jaguar, thye dreamcast and the n64 live. Whilst some of the features look good, it simply dosnt make me say "i want one"

So i expect many parents to buy their kids the wii, then many parents to buy their kids the ps3 in replacement.

The PS3 is probably the better box technically, and including a BluRay drive for HD movies would have been a great idea except..... http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=19392

my kids can stick with thier old X-boxes for a bit longer, I think!

    Thumbs up

    Hi Ken,

Its knowing which one to buy ? I know we had this conversation way back when i bought my X Box, In the end it was down to Added value and what Games system offered the best value.

In our house, This Christmas it will down to what's best for the family. X Box has lots of Killing, Driving Etc. The Wii seems to offer Games for the whole family, Abit like the PS2 when the Dance Mat & that Quiz show set up appeared.

If was to buy the 360 it would be purely for Halo 3 and that's not out until 2007, Plus i've not got a HD TV.

I recently purchased a 32 Inch Philips OEM only 2 years old so it will be a while before i can upgrade that.

As i mentioned earlier the wife and i bought 2 Nintendo DS Lite's and have enjoyed the quality of Fun titles that you can join in without having to purchase 2 Cartridges, That was a Brilliant move on Nintendo's part, Its shows a Lack of Greed that some other Manufacturers have employed.

DS Lite also has a lot of !Off the Wall" titles like Dr Kawashima Brain training. My Auntie and uncle are in their Late 60's and have purchase one of these just to play this title ?!

So will it be the battle of the Simple console offering Fun Fun Fun, or the Technically Superior console time will tell.

    Is that right paul ?

My daughter and son use theirs to send mesgs, and little drawings etc BUT ... When i spotted a good chat game with little characters n stuff i wanted to get cus it was only £9.99 in CEX ( i think £15 at most ) she said they need one each for them to work.

I thought, blinkin ripoff! So wondering now if she is wrong ?

    Whats the Game ?

Try looking on the back of the Packaging it tells you whether you can connect 1-4 Players via the 1 Cartridge

and it is very good exercise and im positive, if you leave the curtains whilst playing on it, the neighbours will start looking at you funny for the next few weeks
