ps I love this site ---but!!

    Rose tinted whats?

You must be joking - scroll back through all the forums and you will find I have been one of the sites biggest and most frequent critics.

When they do get something right, I give praise where it's due ..... and pretty damn sparing with that as I know most "good things" introduced on this site go "mammaries upwards" within a very short space of time.

THE phrase rose tinted glasses means:-

    Definition

look at/see sth through rose-coloured/tinted glasses (UK ALSO look at/see sth through rose-coloured/tinted spectacles)
to see only the pleasant things about a situation and not notice the things that are unpleasant:
She's always looked at life through rose-tinted glasses.

    (from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

And I said you had taken them off, so seeing it for what it really is

Exactly - I've NEVER worn them where eBid and eBay are concerned - 44 months of niggling away at them and still going strong

It drags the site down and makes it look tacky!!

Just my tuppence-worth. I really want this site to work Guys!

Well put. How about a better user validation so users caught selling counterfeit items can not sell on the site again.

I have recommended in the past but for the person concerned to get nothing but NPB, few sales and to see nothing but crappy fake watches. He has stopped using the site now and sticking with the expensive site.

Free auctions are all very well but without any buyers its about as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

Chrimbo is coming, why not run a nice ad on the yahoo front page or something?

Unless the Buddy point auction items are donations, why not bin those and use the money constructively.

Good membership silver and gold levels. It gives the sellers options depending on their needs or commitment. Bad invoicing and payment linking. Turbo lister should be availible to silver users. Would not cost the site anything to do this and would encourage more listing.

    Thumbs up reply to question

I most certainly would recomend eBid to my friends and I do do just that. This is the greatest thing to auction sites as icing is to cake. Thank-you for coming into my life....Good-bye Ebay forever.

Your enthusiasm is understandable but If I'm reading your feedback correctly you haven't sold anything yet on eBid, even though you have more than 400 items listed. A lot of people who have posted here felt like you when they first joined several months ago and although they are still hanging on in here, their enthusiasm has dipped as you will see from reading all the posts in this thread and others in this part of the forum. Hopefully we'll hang on long enough to see the changes introduced promised by Gazza recently.
