Thread: Promotional idea that costs nothing

  1. #1

Question Promotional idea that costs nothing

We're newbies so apologies if this is the wrong place to offer this idea.

One of the hardest things for us to do when closing our Pheebay store was say goodbye to an excellent four figure feedback record and start afresh with nothing. I know a lot of Pheebay store owners are reluctant to move for the same reason. This isn;t surprising give the blood sweat and tears that goes in to earning that kind of feedback record. OK, we've taken the plunge anyway, but can't we encourage more proven top quality Pheebayers over to eBid this way?

If a store owner/seller with a long standing (2 years+?) Pheebay record and a 1000+ & 99%+ feedback record were allowed to 'import' their feedback record, or receive a feedback credit on eBid, then this may just be the nudge they need to open an eBid account. Perhaps the easiest idea is simply to allow users to advertise their Pheebay feedback record.

At the end of the day, provided the feedback arrangement was properly advertised on the site or in forums all users would understand it and it will only cost a little time/effort on the system. It would cost nothing cash wise in terms of advertising off site and it should be easy to get free media coverage of such an offer at the moment.

Don't think I've seen such a promotion by any Pheebay competitor.

    Just our twopence worth...

Good morning Helen & Graham, happy Friday and welcome to eBid !

As far as I'm aware it is, and always has been, permissible to publicise previous feedback, via a link on your auction pages. If you check out the Feedback & Rating section of the Forums you will find lots of tips there on the best way to go about it

Those of us who migrated here quite a while ago were allowed to import feedback but ebay soon put a stop to that !

I hope your move to eBid is a very successfull one

Here's an example of the feedbacksite.com display, and it's FREE to sign up with them.
