well, just my paranoia it seems- a glitch (probably on my server) prevented the image from been viewed, It fine now, although I thought I'd better make the notice abit more erm, subtle (for now!)- as I dont really want it taken away by ebay.

ebid will have no trouble attracting sellers, with ebays latest price increases they're coming in swarms - me included.
but sellers need sales, and at the moment this site isn't delivering.
I tried ebid 2 years ago - not a single sale (hardly a look even)
I'm giving it another go - but, searching completed auctions for the kind of thing I sell, total sales = zero
    not very encouraging ...
the problem is this site is not that comfortable on the eye - there's too much to take in, the casual browser just wants to type in their interest and search.
Advertising may get people here - but the site layout won't invite them in.
Sellers will persevere with awkward layouts until they get the hang of it,
but the casual visitor (and potential buyer) won't.

Site needs to be buyer friendly, pretty, easy on the eye and a lot less 'busy'

Why dont you try listing something now, someone may want your stuff even if they dont want other peoples. Its not going to cost you so I would give it a go if I were you.

I hope to shortly, just trying to get to grips with a few things,
I'm also trying to change my id - I'll take the same as my ebay one, keeping continuity ...

    Default Coming across from eBay.

Hello, Just wanted to say that I will be coming across from eBay as well. It will be a few weeks before I get a head of steam up over here on eBid but I want to have a couple of hundred auctions going here for my car spares shop. Hopefully we sellers can do our bit to make eBid a good place to do business and to make it an attractive site destination for visitors. I hope we can have a good atmosphere here where there is respect for everybody else and a sense of community. I see that eBid now have a record number of auctions going. I think that is just the start. A lot of eBay people are going to come across. Those eBayers who have regular repeat customers will bring their customers over as well. I think that eBid is going to be announcing new records on a regular basis over the coming months. Anyway, good luck to everybody else coming over from eBay and good luck to eBid as well! Robert.
