That is a good idea Karen, a few months ago I came across someone on youtube who had made a presentation of her goods and placed it under a relevant section to advertise her activities on the dark-side.

Ciao is also a good site to go to to spread the word about Ebid. Write reviews about Ebid there - you even get paid when someone clicks on your review.

The recent changes to UK listings visibility on the Ebay US site has meant even more disgruntled Ebay sellers as US sales have plummeted for many UK sellers. Wish they would take the chance and move over to EBid NOW. The more sellers here, the more buyers there will be.

As far as I'm aware the New eBid will have a new logo, my flyers were only ever meant as a stop-gap until eBid had their own available.

If eBid's new flyers aren't going to be available for a while after the upgrade, I'll check with Gazza & Mark, that it's ok to do some based on the new design until theirs are ready.

Don't buy anything on the other site, just keep some books in the store so have a few sales to keep the lights on since don't get any sales over here. Send notices out with every purchase but so far not many people heading this way. Just keep waiting for advertising to get some traffic.

I think people overestimate the power of Tv advertising (unless there's a HUGE budget) another auction site put money into TV advertising around Xmas time, but it doesn't appear to have worked for them.

What i would like to see is EBID is saome lesds expensive advertising. For example
Issue more news letters to current members: EBIDs own front page auctions have been excellent value and are well worth promoting ( I got a brand new TV £100 cheaper than it would have been on Amazon). This type of news could be included in a monthly or quarterly newsletter.

There are news sites which let you lodge press releases for free, New features, unusual auctions, new lookes etc.. could all be issued as press releases, and sent out to all the PC and shopping based magazines.

radio is a very effective form of advertising, maybe EBID could 'sponser' a consumer slot or programme on a commercial radio station.

I agree with HannaHolly, some good PR can cost you nothing or close to nothing, but it can bring as much as plain advertising.
Doing a newsletter would be a fantastic idea and even if you get a couple of lines here and there on regular basis, it can help.
