Hi Lin, i've no idea, i just know that i've sold several items recently & i've bought some, so the items sold figure is going up lol.

Has anyone considered / tried doing a really daft auction, like the sort of things you see on *the other side* from time-to-time? Something along the lines of Jesus' face on a bit of toast, a roast dinner, or the emotionally unstable person selling the ex's stuff while dishing the dirt on their failed relationship.

There's plenty of sites / newsletters who could spread links to said auctions like wild fire. Admittedly, it wouldn't turn eBid into the monopoly, but could bring a few new faces...

In which case, how do we get the publicity for them?

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
    Both sell discontinued china tableware.

I doubt very much that feebay told the press etc about its daft auctions - it was sellers and buyers sending links of the auctions to their mates via email and perhaps one or two had contacts in the press and sent the links to them??
