Thread: Advertizing? Where?

  1. #1

    Default Advertizing? Where?

EBid advertizing; where? I haven't seen ...any...advertizing or promotion to the site.
Advertizing is a 'necessary evil'... and it...works! Now, more than ever, eBid needs to advertize with all the negative things happening at the big monopoly, eBay! Couldn't be a better time!

Admittedly, I am new to eBid. Advertizing did not bring me to eBid. I happened to see eBid listed, along with numerous other auctions, in a Auction Bytes monthly newsletter comparing rates.

I understand what you're saying but advertising costs, i prefer the free listings, members advertise in many ways & there are new members joining daily.
Also a lot of people find eBid in search engines when they get fed up of paying fees for not selling items on 'the other side'.
What would improve the site however, is if the new members were prepared to buy & not just come here to sell, it's an auction site, any auction site can only work if there are buyers as well as sellers.

My auctions, good prices, fair p&p.

    Hi

Surely with all the google adsence and other adverts that are making money would suffice to a least one prime advert in the national press.... If ebid really wants to make themselves heard then advertising is the answer even if it was only once a year

A look at the auction count now shows 193690 Auctions Found compared to 367000 1 month ago

    Regards

    Liam

Proves my point, no need 2 spend megabucks on advertising, eBid is growing daily without it.

But i got those figures from your post lol.
Oh i see, you've edited your post. ok, but maybe the drop has something to do with this being holiday time, i've recently sold quite a few items & haven't put any more up yet, i have more items to list after my holiday next month. Maybe people have closed their auctions temporarily. Regards, Ann.
