Default Now Microsoft are taking a look at your pc

It seems that Microsoft is very interested in what software you have on your PC according to this article.

    Thumbs down

Yes, even regardless if you have the genuine Microsoft OS, they still download their own spyware through their "updates" with the message "This is not a genuine Microsoft software"!?!?

I mean, fair enough, if it isn't a genuine Microsoft OS, but it still doesn't give them the right to invade peoples privacy and send their spyware on to peoples PC's

    Exclamation

I've had no updates since 15 June 2006 all attempts are thwarted. I was advised by the feller who built my 2nd computer to Turn off Automatic Updates and just set it to notify not download.

WGA he say's is a pain in the ass.
He's gonna have a looksee, but advises that My firewall and antivirus are kept well up to date and I should be as snug as a bug in a rug I am but he says the end result will be to .........uninstall WGA It's tantamount to spyware !!

LOL I'm still a tad confused, but I trust him.

Microsoft have been installing spyware with Windows for years, IE watches your browsing habits for one thing. I hate that sort of thing! Never heard of that on the Mac though
