Are Antiques A Thing Of The Past?

Hi,
I've been trying to sell antique furniture on Ebid at what is definately low market prices and am finding that not many people are looking at my auctions and have up to now not had a sale despite the bargain prices. If I sell on the other side, - they sell? Why is that? Same format, Higher price to cover fees but they sell. So the question is, Do other EBid sellers of antiques - preferably furniture, have the same problem. I realise the trend is away from brown furniture, but most of my items are Light???
Any response would be appreciated and I would like also to get to know a few people who sell antiques on EBid who can assist, advise, chat or just BE THERE for each other.

It is just a slow market place, here, Louis Andre. As you will find advised all over these boards - list, set to autorelist and then walk away. Sales will then arrive now and then to surprise you.

The odd purchase wouldn't hurt either - if you have some feedback you look more likely to be a performing seller. Your items are both high value and specialist - after all, one doesn't buy beds every week.

I dont think antiques are a thing of the past, as i regulary sell these on ebay and offline. I just think at the moment ebid is not the right marketplace for these items but who knows maybe it will be soon
