I will have to get some recent ones of them, although they haven't changed much.

Nala is our "protectress" - she is the one who guards the window and checks for anything unusual. Nero is the stupid one (although more intelligent, if you know what I mean) - he is soppy and needs company all the time.

I would get a third one if we had the room - a chocolate one - that way we'd have the whole set! LOL

Apparently chocolate labs are a forced breed and can suffer with genetic disorders, which puts me off a bit.

And lastly, a stray called Scruffy (you'll see why). I'm trying to persuade him to stay. He comes in to eat, sleep, warm up and dry off etc. He still doesn't live here though.

Indeed you perception may simply be an expressed reflection of your own internal anxieties - i'd suggest less casting of aspersions and more attention to your own deficencies
