    Default Old Box Camera

I've "inherited" an old box camera and before I let the children play with it / take it to school I wondered if anyone can tell me anything about it - particularly whether they are 10 a penny or worth "looking after" (I have no plans to sell it - but in the unlikely event that it's worth a fair bit of money I may be tempted!! )

    It's a KODAK SIX-20 'BROWNIE' C with a brown canvas carry case.

    I'll post a picture if anyone's interested.

    Thanks

    Hi there.
It sounds like you have a very cool old camera there. Does it basically look like a black cube with a "Mikey Mouse" style three circles on the front panel?
If so then its from about 1950. They take 620 film (i think) but its supposed to be possible to load 120 film in them which is much easier to get hold of.
They are not worth much but are very nice little cameras and if its still working then you should give it a go - post any results if you do

    Hi!

I collect Kodak box and folder cameras. I would be interested in seeing a picture. I have a number of Six-20's, but there were a number of them made and some significant differences between the UK, Canadian and US versions. They are definitely collectible. Value depends on condition. You won't be able to retire on it should you sell it They go for between $10-$25 on eBay. Now....if you had a Beau Brownie....well now that would be a different story!
