Sorry i cant give you anything useful on the history as it came as part of a job lot of badges- which included charity, sport advertising, a couple of girl guides etc..

I'm not even sure which way up the badge goes.. is that a big letter C. our a U.. or a horseshoe.. and is that a W going across it- or maybe an M?? It's a shame there isn't a facility in google to google on an image!

All I can tell from looking at it is: The initails are CCW or maybe WCC, So it could be something from a cricked club.

The only thing I can think of is The World Council of Churches.
But I have never seen a badge. edit. scrap that I found it it's not.

i could very well be wrong but it look`s like the badge of the women`s royal catering corp...
that was used during the war....
please let me know if i`m correct....
