    Red face Old tin

I have an old tin box with a raised picture of a crinoline dress. It has the word workbox in the top lefthand corner
On the back is an address of Geo Bassett and co ltd. Also it has a serial number or patent number.
I would be very interested if anyone has any info.
Itried asking at the Bassett forum and also the early Cadbury's people.

thankyou. The box is rectangular with a hinged lid.On the cover is a lady in a crinoline dress carrying a basket of flowers as she walks through a garden. The actual lady is slightly raised from the rest of the tin also the flowers are raised.
Inside the tin there are two shelves ,one on the left and one on the right.
Idont think it was a chocolate box, more like a workbox.
I bought it at a carboot sale a couple of years ago; it came full of old world war one and two buttons and others. also a butchers bill for meat and ducks and chickens etc.the date on the receipt was 1937.

The address on the back is GEO.BASSETT & CO.LTD
    MANUFACTURING CONFECTIONERS
    PORTLAND STREET
    SHEFFIELD

    No.17611

i will try and get some pictures up on screen of it. the was also some other old sdtuff in the tin, tiny dressmaking pins, an old bone domino button etc. My curiosity is running wild. i love old sewing stuff
