Unhappy Happy Hour is too pricey for Americans

It is my opinion that Happy Hour auctions are too pricely here in the U.S. - I believe you are charging $7.50 for Happy Hour?

Being that ebid U.S. is new, this high HH price is not inviting to sellers, imo.

In GPB, aren't Happy Hours auctions less expensive, like 4 GBP or some similar amount?

    I welcome feedback about this.

    hi there

just had a look at the cost of using uk happy hour auctions (4 hour auction) and yes it is £4.00

i then put that amount into a currency converter

    www.xe.com and according to them

    4.00 GBP
    = 7.46276 USD

so there really isnt much difference in the fees

i do have a question of my own regarding this type of auction.

why is it called a happy hour when it lasts for four hours?

Either way, its more expensive than eBay...... thats a lot of cash when u look that most auctions only sell for the same amount.

PS - I sold my 1st thing on eBid yesterday... but it looks like a non-paying bidder from my side!!!!

    Hi,
I am aware that the currency conversion is $7.50 USD, however I think Happy Hour should be $4.00 USD.

If Happy Hour is $4.00 for UK folk it should be $4.00 for U.S. folk, imo.

At $7.50, there is no incentive for U.S. folk to even give it a try, which doesn't bode well for ebid success in the U.S.

Just my take on the matter.

Default Not being a fan of Happy Hour auctions...

I suppose my opinion doesn't count but why should it cost US sellers less than UK sellers? £1 is not $1 - it just isn't
    Madelaine

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
    Both sell discontinued china tableware.

I did say that some Americans have a problem believing the rest of the world exists!

You are aware of the value of the dollar compared to the pound?

I hope to hear from an ebid administrator about this issue.

    Yes, I am for real.

I did not start this discussion to be insulted.

I am hoping that an ebid administrator will address the issue I raised.
