After years of bidding and selling on that other e site, I searched for alternatives--in disgust--and found eBid. Am pretty impressed and delighted to be here. If anyone has suggestions for me as a new seller (to help show that I am an honest seller with experience and an excellent track record), please do advise away. Great to be here!

If you want to sell on ebid, you will need to upgrade your account to Seller or preferably Seller Plus.

Then just get stick in and make a few listings.
You will soon learn - its easy.

But here are three popular suggestions for ebid newby sellers.

List with a BIN so your listing gets sent to Google Shopping for free
Don't use Run until Sold or your listings will never rise to the top of the browsing list
Don't use all caps - its hard to read.

And why not buy a few things from ebid to get to see how it all works and to support ebid members who have kept this place going for the last 10 years.

The customer support on Ebid is fantastic ... As a new member this is so important to me ... I have had quite a few questions .. All of my inquiries to customer support have been answered within the hour unlike other Auction site where you might get referred to a link or ignored.. It has been so helpful to me & enabled me to set up my Ebid stores ... I now hope to be an active member of the great Ebid community & participate as much as I can in the discussions in this forum ... I now find listing items so easy & if I still need help I know that Ebid will guide me through ... Thank you Ebid so much

You can if you want to, but some people like me just didn't bother.I have plenty of 100%+ FB on ebay, but figured this is a different place and a new challenge. Some people think it gives customers some confidence, while others think that it's not necessarily accurate, as it's not a reflection of your activity on this site. If you want a longer discussion of this, look up some of the older threads on this topic in ADVANCED SEARCH on the purple line at the top of the page.....or start a new thread. Lots of people don't keep up with this thread once they've said hi! Glad you are here!

Here is some helpful advice from another eBidder, kreativebargains, on another thread ~

List for 7-10 days with 10 auto reposts.
Use the 81 available characters to get appropriate keywords in your title.
Offer International shipping.
Make sure you use appropriate keywords.
Price your goods to be competitive with eBay and Amazon.
Use keywords.
Open a store(s)
Keywords
Add brand and barcode number to get the upload to Google Shopping, get an exemption if needed.
Did I mention the keywords?

HELLO...have only used EBay, so anxious to see how this site works! I'm the Pendulum Lady and create the prettiest pendulums. I didn't know what a pendulum was until I learned about the Chakras and then I was on a mission to find a pendulum. That was the start of something magical...I LOVE making them and they are by far the prettiest I've seen and for a reasonable price. A chakra balancing fascilitator gave me the greatest compliment, saying my pendulum stones have awesome ENERGY! Hope I have good luck on this site getting them out there!
