Thread: 'Report This Auction' Feature

  1. #1

    Question 'Report This Auction' Feature

all to often I, and no doubt many others, come across an auction that needs to be reprted due to a number of reasons ie illegal goods, against ebid reg's, etc, etc.

I think it would be easier for all users of the auctions if there were to be a 'Report this Auction' button at the foot of the page along with all the others.

I agree with this one. This would be quicker and more private as well. there would be no risk of a revengeful seller messing up your auctions etc

I like this idea too. I'm not worried about revenge but it would save time.

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
    Both sell discontinued china tableware.

I also agree with this suggestion , it would be easier and quicker , it's a bit of a pain having to come here to report

    good idea,

i made a report in the forum and someone i have never heard of had a go at me for doing so.

for about a week after it happened, that name was parked in the forum patrol for a good few hours each day.

why? all i can think is that it was an attempt to intimidate and put people off posting.

ok, so it may only have happened to me, but each person that reports are putting themselves in the firing line for revenge auction spoiling, or abuse.

if it could be done in a more private way, it would be better.

This will be addiving soon, not in 5.0 which is launching this week but in the 5.1 update a few weeks later.
