Stop adult items getting on front page
Can you not restrict auctions from the adult section from posting on front page. Just limit them to the adult section. One other suggestion is limiting access to adult auctions to silver and above as they have registered a credit card, that way it stops kids looking up things that they shouldnt.
At least not on front page during the afternoon!
I agree with the previous comment, I have just opened the ebid front page with my 4 yr-old son close by and I have someone's bottom staring at me on a 60min auction - ITS 4 O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON! The time when school kids are getting home and putting the comp on, why do those people want to corrupt their innocent minds, could they not at least wait til later at night?!?
This is a recurring problem. It is REALLY bad for ebid's image. All the effort to get people to visit and that is what greets them! ARGH!!!

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
Both sell discontinued china tableware.
there was a post somewhere by the boys, saying that new software being installed would help prevent this happening, just need to find the thread now.
Nice 1 G & M lets hope that the sad people who inflict this kind of stuff on people who dont want to see it dont find a way of abusing the new software.
P.S I am not a prude I dont mind seeing porn it doesnt offend me but i would hate to see the site get pulled because of government watchdogs taking serious offence at said items. There is a place for it and if you want to look for it you will always find it, so there is no need for it to be on the front page.
P.P.S. I have a pair of smelly grundys up for sale I have chuffed in them loads of times so they should still stink by the time they reach you. WOTS YOUR BIDS.

There wouldnt be any problem setting up a secure adult area on here using the same software it would take less than 1 hour to do it ... so why dont they .. Yes, I am also in favour of a secure area for adult items. People who would want to buy adult items would know where to look anyway, without it appearing on the frontpage.
I agree with this , the frontpage is the first thing people see and at the moment with the adult and fake items it is very off putting ...a secure area for adult is needed, qxl have one and it seems to work for them
