Thread: Retrictions on listing for newbies

  1. #1

Default Retrictions on listing for newbies

There should be a restriction on high value items that sellers are allowed to list when they are newbies without any feedback. For example, when a new person is registered they must have at least 5 positive seller feedbacks to list laptops, mobile phones or any other item above £100. It is surprising how may items are listed in the electrical category of whom the sellers have no feedback and they have used professional photos and HTML all of which look like scams. I think it would be a step closer to getting rid of the scammers.

Point is though, people are encouraged not to trust a seller offering high value items without any feedback by all auction sites. If newbies from ebay wanted to sell items then they would need start off selling related computer hardware or phone accessories until they get a reputable feedback profile. We only want the good sellers from ebay not the ebay scammers they can stay on ebay.

Excellent Idea, too many no feedback sellers with high value items

How about forcing newbies to have PPPay Escrow as a payment option until they are +10 ??

that would be a step in the right direction , I personally would not buy high value items from a low / no feedback seller ....
