oh I dunno ... frees up space on the database for a start, and god knows why would people want to go back ovber and over again and read some of the really insulting and vicious threads?

at least the guys arent pulling the threads instantly ... which is what happens on a lot of other sites. mind you, a lot of other sites have moderators who patrol the forums to stamp out that kind of **** as soon as it kicks off ... am guessing the guys just dont have enough hours in the day to be doing that too.
