Dell 720 printer anyone got a driver for W98

If anyone has got that Dell 720 to work with W98 I would be gratefull to know how or rather my daughter would

wont work with win 98 have spoken to dell and no driver has been made for it to run with win 98

Got caught by this one myself. As far as I'm aware the 720's based on a Lexmark printer - if you can find out which one, the Lexmark driver MAY work.

Your best bet is to do what I did, and sell the thing though - the cartridges supplied with a new machine are what Dell call "trial" cartridges and are not full, and due to the fact that they're proprietary there are no aftermarket cartridges available. Even though you can refill the cartridges, it's worth spending the extra in my opinion on an HP, Canon or Epson - in my opinion much better machines and sensibly priced cartridges widely available.

I have been told that this Lexmark printer driver CJ9X600LE might work but untill I get up to see my daughter I cant test it.

Thanks for your help followed your advice and found this link, http://mystoragespace.port5.com/ which gives full instructions on how to do it sucessfully. It will again be some time befor I can verify the result so if anyone else is sucessfull or otherwise befor me please post here
