All of us in the family have really sensitive scalps, multiple allergies etc. When I home-dye I always do the strand test and skin test, but have actually walked out of hairdressers when they have wanted to dye my hair without either test. My head is so itchy most of the time anyway so I have to be extra careful (but still have to hide the grey for a few years yet!), same with the kids - always checking with a nit comb to be on the safe side, but just find snowstorms! My kids started with cradle cap and never got rid of it. Strange that L'Oreal Fast Dry is mentioned because both of my kids had much worse itching on their scalps when they used that. Apart from lousy colours sometimes I have never had a really bad reaction to hair dye, but every time I have to check before using just in case.
