Yah! Selling some more comics. The gap between sales is getting shorter which can only be a good sign.

Another dozen comics sold for me. Plus another 20 or 30 through other sellers. It does finally look like things are picking up here. Gazza, any chance of the extra categories?

Would like to see categories for Silver Age, Bronze Age, Golden Age, etc. A lot of collectors aren't prepared to wade through pages of modern stuff to get to a few older issues.

    FYI
    Golden Age: pre 1957
    Silver Age: 1957-1969
    Bronze Age: 1970-1980
    Modern Age: Post 1980

I suggested these when the comics categories were originally set up. However, the conscensus at the time was that they didn't wish to follow the year splitting system for titles. The majority won out hence the categories we have at present. To be honest they've worked pretty well, although a few additional character categories would probably help.

In my experience most collectors would wade through the whole of Marvel's inventory in the last 10 years if they thought they might find a cheap Silver Age key issue 8->.

Fair enough I suppose, if that's the concensus. I just think that anything that can be done to refine a search for a buyer is a good thing for everyone

I agree. I think a system similar to EBAY would be good where there are years and the titles within the year categories. I think at the time this wasn't considered feasible given that there were very few comics listed. Things are different now but it woudl be a massive change so I'm not sure if the power that be would go for it.

By the way if you have any Silver/Golden age I'd recommend looking at http://www.comiccovers.net/forum01a/index.php. It has a for sale and wanted section which I often used to point people to my EBID auctions. It's mostly US people, so they aren't much on moderns (postage being an issue) but anything older normally peeks their interest and it can generate some sales.

    Hmm,
Whats the sorta percentages on npb's in here sold to 3 diffrent people and only 1 paid so far (only been a week but you tend to get a feeling about certain sales).
As to categories how can they have Iron Man, Thor, Avengers, Captain America, Daredevil, Green Lantern, JLA and maybe Wonder Woman missing. These have been going strong for the last 50 years and deserve their rightful place with the comic greats.
Btw Illudius nice pricing even I have been tempted at some of your auctions.
