    Default Comics on EBID

The good news for anyone selling comics on EBID is that it's picking up a bit. After a couple of disappointing non paying bidders I recently managed to sell several issues. Other sellers also seem to be having success. We're still not a EBAY levels but name dropping EBID on several comic book forums seems to be doing the trick. It there's anyone out there wondering where to place their comics for sale you could do worse than give them a run on here.

When you get them, make sure to interest them in comics too. I think a tag line of "Like stamps only bigger" should work. 8->

That is good news, I've been thinking about putting some comics on here but eBay keeps me too busy and it hasn't proven worthwhile in the past. But what comics are selling, if I may ask? Silver Age, Bronze? Or modern?

I've sold mostly modern although I know some people who have sold Silver Age stuff fairly successfully. If you have older items you might want to mention them on the Comics For Sale and Trade section on the US forum http://www.comiccovers.net/forum01a/index.php as they are fairly keen on them.

Well it appears that the comic sales have slowed down a bit on EBID, but a new influx of sellers has bumped the number of comics up to 7000+ so hopefully the variety and access to the US will encourage some more folks.

Are the categories ok. Just add any you need and we can have them up in moments..

We are starting to hit target markets with google ads at the moment, if you can come up with search keywords and text for the ads then we can get some going for comics...

The ads should be in this format
    Headline (max 25 chars)
Description line 1: (max 35 chars)
Description line 2: (max 35 chars)

list as many keywords as you think necessary

You can get an idea for text for ads by doing searches for your keywords and viewing the sponsored ads down the right of the screen.

    Smile

For categories I'd recommend the following

Under COLLECTIBLES | COMICS | Marvel add

    Daredevil
    Punisher
    Wolverine

Under COLLECTIBLES | COMICS | IMAGE Add

General (Move all the current auctions into this)
    Spawn
    Tomb Raider
    Witchblade

Under COLLECTIBLES | COMICS | DC Add

    Justice League

    Under COLLECTIBLES | COMICS Add

    Dark Horse
    Manga

Under COLLECTIBLES | COMICS | ARTWORK Add

    Posters
    Prints

REMOVE COLLECTIBLES | COMICS |WWE Wrestling

Ideally COMICS would be a top level category.

    Cheers,

    I'd recommend

HEADLINE - 1000s of COMIC AUCTIONS
    DS1: - Marvel, DC, Image & Indies
    DS2: - Get yourself a EBID bargain

    Key words would be

Comic, Comics, Comicbook, Marvel, DC, Vertigo, X-Men, XMEN, Wolverine, Superman, Batman, Witchblade, Image, Spawn, Dynamic Forces, CGC, Spider-Man, spiderman

Not sure if you can do ads with differing keywords. If so I'd try a similar format to EBAY and Silveracre

    Examples would be

    HEADLINE - Vertigo Comics
DS1: - Looking for Vertigo back issues?
DS2: - Bid at EBID, for a real bargain!
    Key words would be

Comics, Comic, Comicbooks, Vertigo, Hellblazer, Swamp Thing, Constantine, Sandman

    HEADLINE - Marvel Comics
DS1: - Looking for Marvel back issues?
DS2: - Get Spidey, Wolvie and Co. at EBID
    Key words would be

Comics, Comic, Comicbooks, Marvel, X-Men, Xmen, Spider-Man, spiderman, Wolverine, Avengers, Captain America, Conan, Punisher

    HEADLINE - DC Comics
DS1: - Looking for DC back issues?
DS2: - Bats and Supes are waiting at EBID.
    Key words would be

Comics, Comic, Comicbooks, DC, Batman, Superman, Nightwing, JLA, Justice League, Flash, Wildstorm, Legion, Y Last Man

    HEADLINE - Image Comics
DS1: - Looking for Image back issues?
DS2: - Ascension to Zealot. All on EBID.
    Key words would be

Comics, Comic, Comicbooks, Image, Witchblade, Spawn, Tomb Raider, Ascension, Wildcats, Rising Stars

Let me know if these are any use.
