With a budget of £30, you ain't gonna get much. Watch the auctions for Palm units, you might pick up something that's escaped serious notice.

Beware the bargain "PDA"s advertised for very low prices - they are usually cr*ppy little diary/phonebook gadgets. OK if that's what you're looking for, but generally not very useful.

Try to grab a Palm III (IIx, IIIxe, etc) or Palm V if you can (any of the Palm "m" series are also good, but tend to sell for more), or one of the Handspring models. Or extend your budget a little and go for an older iPAQ 3630.

I know about those telephone book ones! They arn't really PDAs at all! I want a Palm IIIxe or a higher spec V (8mb).
