Thread: Suppliers

  1. #1

    Default Suppliers

    Hi all

We are looking for suppliers of computer components and parts, ie CPU's, cases, motherboards, speakers, memory etc. If anyone knows of any really good ones for trade customers please let us know. Or if you are one can you send a price list via email, or web url?

    All help appreciated.

The items will not be sold on eBid, or eeeeeethedarkside (use the force, Luke!) We are looking to start building PC's as the market with us is abismal and the service you get worse. Time for some change we think.

Anyway, before I go on much longer, any info appreciated.

You need to have a bank business account before they will consider you. Once you have that (already have that?) they will grant you an account and access to the price lists. I have found them very competitive and cheap, and they also do a lot of Mac stuff too.

Unless you can build a stylish & useable full PC system with TFT monitor and with the latest version of windows and including 12 months free Tech Support for under £300 don't bother, leave it to Dell. They may have their faults (and they do) but you'll never take on their advertising clout.

I've been building professional bespoke systems for more than a decade, Dell have done exactly the same thing to the PC market as Microsoft did with operating systems.

P.S. thorpepie I can get a (new, top brand) 250Gb hard drive for less than that without buying bulk & RETAIL BOXED DVD BURNERS for approx £17 each, AMD Athlon for half that price and there's still no money in it.

Sorry Merlin_Man, guess you didn't read the bit about "building bespoke systems for the last 10 years".
