How about "all of the above"?

Gazza... is there a technical problem in moving Photography to the first level, or is it simply that you've chosen to put it where it is and that's your choice?

For example, would moving it now mean that existing auctions in the database would be invalidated? If so, obviously that means we have to live with things as they are. But it also means that a rethink of the design may be needed and intro of a way of migrating in the future. As the site grows and more categories are needed, inevitably there'll be a point at which you'll want to do a wholesale reorganisation of some category branches, rather than just continuing to add leaf nodes.
