    Hi

I'm new to this site but have already found it much friendlier than the other side!!

As a buyer I would welcome a main craft section and the sub categories are an excellent idea, would make life much easier for everyone

Please, please help us buyers too

I agree.... I especially think there should be alot more to do with crafts, mainly cross stitch

do you craft types think that we should have a forum to chat about all things arty/crafty?

judging by the input into this thread, there seems to be a lot of you!

i've made the suggestion to gary and mark on the "website suggestion" forum.

there's also a poll, so please have a quick look and let me know what you think.

Sorry to rekindle this argument but I have loads of knitting machine books and literature to sell and just can not see anyone going to "Whatever's left" to find them. That is where I enventually found Craft & Arts.
Was no agreement reached back in June?

G & M said that if we get 1000 items listed we can have a main category for crafts.

I have sold quite a few cross stitch magazines from where it is now but would prefer an easier way to find it.

Hey Gazza (hello are you there?)
On the subject of Crafts as a topic header - here's a warning

Remember I'm based in north Thailand and I'll be heavily expanding my offerings over the next few months .....

Go to Google.com and do a simple search on "Thailnd + Crafts" - you'll get roughly 50 million pages returned and even if you only trawl through the first two or three, you'll find approximately 200 types of crafts represented. Examples -

    Bags & fashion accessories
    Basketware
    Belts, buckles, & straps
    Candle Making
    Carving
    Ceramics
    Cotton ware (hand woven)
    Doll Making
    Dried Flowers
    Embroidery
    Ethnic crafts
    Frames, albums, and mounts
    Garden sculpture
    Glass sculpture
    Home Decor
    Home Furnishing
    Jewellery
    Lapidary
    Laquerware
    Needlepoint
    Painting
    Paper products
    Pictures
    Pottery
    Sculpture
    Silk products
    Silverware
    Weaving
    Wooden games
    Wooden toys

And that was just the first bunch I could think of in alphabetical order.

eBid members have also asked me to find items like
    incense
    herbs
    wind chimes
ethnic clothing (normally it's hand woven and hand assembled)

    Hope you get the picture
    Gaz

    Hi Sydney

Point me at some web pics of the type of sewing ribbons and lace you want and I'll see if I can track some down - we have a huge haberdashery market here in Chiangmai - bigger than Covent Garden - so most of what you're after should be there, but not sure how prices will stack up
