Thread: New forum category

  1. #1

    Default New forum category

A category in the forum to post links to unsuitable auctions, hopefully it will cut down on the amount of unsuitable listings as sellers will know that anything found possibly unsuitable will be posted here and it will then be deleted from the listings, i for one am fed up with seeing auctions like my worn panties and phone s*x :x

YES i think this would be a great idea ...The managers would say all items should be sent to them but i think a section at the bottom of the forum so we all can add items which should not be in here will be better as then all the managers have to do is go through press the links and delete if they feel they are not the type of auctions this site desires etc

Hey Giftshack the problem is i dont think the managers take to much notice of the polls as i have done a few in the past on subjects like having the adult material in its own section and sorting out the unwnted items etc and in all of them the forum users have voted in favour of an adult section by itself and sorting out the unwated auctions and the management has not acted on them yet ....This may be due to being busy with a long list of items and i can understand that but it it would be nice to get some feedback on the poll results from them as thats what polls are for is to get everyone suggestions and when some polls are 100% in favour of something you thought it might be acted on or atleast responded to by the managers

I hope yoiu have more luck with your poll mate

i went through the stage of reporting all the unwanted auctions the rules state are not wanted and it seems half the time they are not beeing deleted now as i save the emails sent and check back on them a while later and i think a board where you can add such items would be a much better way of reporting them as im sure the managers get alot of emails a day on other subjects they feel are more important and forget to go back and delete the undesirable auctions etc.
And it might encourage more people to report them as i feel all these items ruin the look of the site and if there is alot of these items in 1 catagory will also stop people useing that catogory and i feel once this type of auctions stop the site would improve and we will all do alot better as the members would have more confedence in the rest of the auctions if there was not so many fraud ones listed......... And having such a board to post the links to them would cut down the emails the managers would receive on this subject and it will be there so new members can see what type of auctions are not allowed in here aswell :!: :!: :!:

...'.the forum users have voted in favour of an adult section by itself and sorting out the unwated auctions and the management has not acted on them yet' ..

This is an extremely unfair statement and rather disappointing. Because a few members have said
'ya' does not mean that it is correct - far from it. We have actually spent alot of time behind the scenes with our lawyers on the subject.
It is not as simple as having an adult section. There is the problem of who is legally allowed to sell R18 listings in the UK and much much more but at the moment, until we have received correct legal councell we would prefer not to go against the law because 'the management has not acted on them yet ' !!!!

With regards to undisirable listings we have an excellent idea that we are trying to formulate so we can put into practice

i have just had a thought a board for unwanted items could also be used to enquire about members as i have been going through the members listings and have noticed that there are members with manes who clearly joined to take the pi** and i have been adding them to my list of users i dont wish to trade with and adding the manes to the boards could be a way for the manager to become aware of such people

below are some names i have added to my blackball list so far as i feel they joined as a joke or are likely to bid and not pay as the name seems a bit funny

    Hi Mark
Firstly thanks for deleteing that listing, you are doing a fantastic job it is just the few that spoil it for other users, Nuts just because the name seems a bit funny does not mean that the bidder will not pay as i have sold items to people with strange names with no problems at all if you are not sure it is best to check out their feedback if they bid on your items , just my views on this.

I also stated that the reason you have not acted on the emails was that it might be was because you was busy as im sure you get alot of emails a day and wouldnt you admit having a board where we can post such items would be easyer as then you wouldnt be receiving the extra emails and from time to time you could go through the board and delete the auctions which you deam to be not wanted on the site then delete the message containing the auction link etc and that way all the messages you receive wont get mixed in with all the other hundreds or thousands of emails im sure you get a day

DONT get me wrong i think this is the best site on the net and i have said on many occasions now thay you both are the best site managers about and i was just trying to give my opinion on the subject and also say its a way so you can keep the reports of these types of auctions in 1 place other than having them mixed in with all the hundreds or thousands of emails you must receive a day

and regarding the adult sections at presant you do have them !!! legal or not and i think having them in a section of their own would be much better as it gives the choice to who wishes to go in to them will and who wishes not to go in wont and at the moment they are with non adult material and anyone who wishes to go to those non adult sections sections have to see the headings for the adult material and might feel offended and not go back to that section which can ruin it for the advertisers of the non adult materials , i would of thought having them in a section designated adults only would be much better as it shows that this site cares enough about having them alone rarther than having them mixed in with normal material etc... and the other week you was saying about finding out about the adult vids etc and i was wondering if it is proved sending them through the post etc was illegal then you would deal with them ,i would like to point out this is another kettle of worms as i am always looking in the normal video section and there seems to be more and more adult videos listed in alot of the normal video sections nowadays than there was when i first joined instead of the seller adding them to the adult videos

OHHHH i thought legally that you had to be 18 to buy or sell from any auction or online auction anyway so i would of thought the only legality on selling such items would mainly be down to the content you can sell regarding adult videos and as a msn and yahoo group runner and 1 or 2 are adult sites alot do get shut down due to content of the pictures etc even when they state adults only or placed in an adult area and when we enquired about this to them direct it turned out that the managers can be held responsable of any marerial that appeared on their site or sold on their sites which break the british censourshiplaws and they can be prosecuted for allowing such matreials even if they were not the ones to add it and any adverts for toys /sex aids where ok aslong as thay wasnt showing a picture of them in use as some adult sites do have sections on the selling of such material and we was advised that if we was to put them in a section clearly stated for adults only we would be ok to continue to sell them etc and since alot of us do that now we have had no shut downs for breaking the law etc
