I sell some books in here (under KPARENUTS and my forum name is P_NUT_2003 due to problems of getting in the forum when i first joined) and would like to state that when you look through the listings that 90% of the books i sell are postage and package included and is stated so in the discription and as im selling them to clear my shelfs etc i dont make to much money on them as i am just trying to clear my shelfs etc  So go and have a look as i am always adding them on lots of subjects and i am always beeing given loads by my family etc grrrr :x and need to clear them :!: :!: :!:
Always remember:
"Outside of a dog, a Book is a man's best friend - inside of a dog it's too dark to read!" GROUCHO MARX - Who else?
I've got lots of books in the loft - many hardback and read only once or twice - that I no longer have shelf room for (because of 2 growing boys whose toys and books have taken over what was once my space!). They are mainly thriller type novels but there are all sorts including some ladies romance ones that I have been given (they're not really my cut of tea - I'm more into Stephen King, Terry Pratchett and the thriller/adventure type of story - SK and TP currently not for sale!). Can any experienced auctioneers advise whether these type of things will sell here and if so what sort of guide price do you recommend :?: - I'm not looking to make mega bucks just to clear some space and maybe get a few pennies to buy the kiddies more toys and books!!!!!!!!!!
hi
i mainly sell the romance books, but try to keep the price down. though also been clearing out some of hubby's books and have found that the thrillers and sci fi sell as well.
we tend to start sell paperbacks off at around 99p to £2.30, some with buy it now prices. though hardbacks we do from £1.80 to £3.00. quite often we do them on auctions and have been pleasantly surprised when they go up.
good luck
maria
Thanks for the info. I'll list a few and see how it goes - after all, I'll get nothing but aching muscles if I lug them all down to the charity shop!
the selling of the extra books now pays for the new books i want )
and from what i have seen the charity shops are not much cheaper than buying them second hand
good luck with selling
maria
I read thrillers and short stories mostly. Also read a lot on non fiction - psychology, cooking, animal care
I`m selling a lot of my chick-lit because their pastel colours are giving my other half a headache
I`m into contemporary fiction, crime and horror, and am especially looking for books written by Andrew Klavan, Jeffery Deaver, Brett Easton Ellis and Ann Rice.
Despite being surrounded by books (see my userid!!), I never get the time to read
