    I do hope all goes well, Moonie. Whatever you do, don't suck a lemon in front of the Piper!

    So the pied piper turned up and spotted a field mouse in the shed. He explained that mice and rats won't share the same shed, so we never had any rats ,

    So it looks like stepdaughter and her friend panicked over a nest of mice and also don't know what rats look like.

    The droppings are different too. I turfed out a box with hundreds of mouse droppings a few weeks ago and never saw any rats.

    It was only my step daughter and her friend who said they saw rats.

    The rat catcher showed me where the mice got in and there was one running around i there today

    I had a field mouse in the living room a couple of weeks ago. I had opened my conservatory door and my inner doors to the conservatory as it was a warm day.

    The poor little thing was running around in circles as the two dogs were barging each other out of the way in attempts to catch it!

    I managed to shepherd it out while keeping the "girls" in, then followed the Hansel and Gretel trail, clearing as I went!

    Thought I would post a couple of photos to take your minds off rats and mice. More fox photos and other photos mainly taken in or from my garden can be found here https://www.pexels.com/@john-thorne-3274526

    @liquidliterature

    We have a pair of red tail foxes that must be a couple.
    Early in the morning, driving down the road, these two would be trotting, intertwining their path going down the fields.

    Beautiful coloring and they look very healthy.

    This year, they should be well fed with all the chipmunks and mice.

    I live in a built up area and the foxes eat discarded takeaways, BBQ leftovers, plus of course the odd rodent as you can see from the photo. Plus the odd squirrel.
