Well, I'm deffo a GSD lover. I just love them to bits; so intelligent, majestic, protective, loyal... these last couple of years have been the only time that I have been without a Shepherd in my life since I was 17! (Apart from when we lived in Florida).

I have taken on another brood bitch, a white Bichon Frise, larger than Fern, and I have named her Snowbelle. This is to allow errors from others! she is going to be a long, slow haul, bless her.

Alresdy she takes treats from the hand and eats from a bowl. She will not walk on a lead yet and sleeps behind my chair, so that I have to crane my neck to see her. She does not walk from A to B but rushes, knocking things over as she goes. As I know her preferred routes, I have been able to move most things she is likely to collide with.

As usual, the other girls are helping as they can, but at the moment she does not trust all of them!

She'll do...but I must take on nothing else while she is settling and learning.

We are still dogless but cat remains interesting. Every so often she selects a box and destroys it.
