    Default Social media

Being new here, I've been bouncing around the various pages + noticed that social media sites are promoted. I can see the value of being present on various sites, putting the word out about what we have to offer. Going over to the youtube link I see nothing has been posted in 5 years..........
That's a long time with no fresh input.
I'm guessing that whoever got that started has either quit ebid or lost interest in youtube promotion finding it too much effort with little or no return.
The other media site suggestions though I think are worthwhile. Pinterest for example gets plenty of traffic.

I don't do all the social media - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and ? ?

The only one I use is Pinterest.
I have a couple of accounts.
One of the accounts I have to do promoting of myself and sellers from here and other sites.
I also have sellers that have joined some of my group boards so that they can pin to those boards.
The pinterest account that I use for all the promoting is SellersMall. (See link in my signature)

The other thing I have done is I opened two (2) free Weebly accounts and have them for some of my person stuff and I also have my shops in tabs and they are linked back to my eBid stores.
(I have one of my weebly accounts linked in my signature)

Hmmm...not familiar with 'weebly' - I'll check them out this week to see if it's potentially a good fit. Thanks for the idea Policequilts.

There is Weebly and Wix that offer free websites.

I know there is another person here that uses Wix.
We use it as a landing page showing some of items for sale and linking them to our eBid stores.
Then the "lookers" might see the other items we have for sale or even to notice that eBid is another marketplace and do some searches.

I used Weebly and I did manage to get the "Pin Button" on it.
It took me research and a couple of tries, but I did get it.

If doing Social Media I would highly recommend not doing it from your normal personal account, I think if what you mostly post is stuff for sale then your friends would probably soon switch off notifications.

Make new accounts just for promoting your items, don't use them for any other purpose.
