I reckon Cheaver has hit the right one with Frangipane....mmmmm. My wife was a teacher of Home Economics/Domestic Science/Food Technology - and I was forced to be the guineapig when she was testing variations. What a drag! We even ended up having the kitchen extended to double the size, so that we might have extra storage space, including three fridges and two freezers. I do miss those wonderfully chaotic days....I manage ok with a cooker and microwave, but....

Camb - that must have been amazing! I had an aunt who was a home ec teacher. She had the most beautiful pantry in the basement filled with shelves and shelves of beautiful fruits and veg she had canned. and jelly and jams, and she would quilt and paint and was so talented. She gave up her quilting a couple years ago...and we now spend some time playing scrabble together on FB!
    Ta-Ta for now!

How wonderful! We used both to love word games and Scrabble was top of the list. Occasionally, even now. 27 years on, I'll make some horrible pun from something overheard on TV and half expect a caustic comment and a cushion hurled at my head! Funny the way the mind works.
