Thanks so much for sharing! It's great to see all the pictures.

This was me in my beloved pushchair. It was painted powder blue and was such a joy when my little legs couldn't keep going.
Shortly after this picture was taken it was hinted that I was getting a bit too big and grown up for it now.... within a couple of weeks after that it was gone and I was absolutely devastated! I loved that pushchair - and I didn't know how my legs would hold up having to walk both there and back again with no help whatsoever.....

How dare you! You are all obviously so much younger than I ! In the late 50s to early 60s (twirly 60s?) I was at University - and I remember how. in the 40s, we would be sent running home, down the hill, when an air raid siren sounded. Of course. the "all clear" would go as soon as you were seated at the kitchen table. I have never been able to understand why we were sent home though....odd!
I gave all my early pics to my younger sister, as guardian of the family soul. I did scan them and put them on CD/DVD...I'm going to have to search the drawers...I'm sure you "get the picture".

I really don't have any childhood pictures. My parents really weren't picture takers.

I think there might be some school pictures up to 6th grade. (I found out we didn't have to take pictures and I never went to have them done.)

The only pictures I have are my driver's licenses. Funny to look at them from the beginning where I looked like John Denver (yes, I was nicknamed Johnnie) until now.

Nice kid pics! Never really used the phrases "child of the 60's or the 70's; but I was a child in the 60's. Have always been somewhat of a picture phobe, like my mama. Have seen 1 when I was a baby, a few from 5 thru 7, a few as a teen, and more as a young adult. My hubby was a photo maniac, even had his own dark room. Those were the days! :-)

It's only in this century that I discovered that it is over a stretch of water known as the Golden Gate - now it makes sense!

I also realise that when we returned to England, no-one made much of the fact that I had been to Disneyland and suddenly I know why. My schoolfriends didn't believe me!
