    Lovely to read this Cambs.
I guess it will be a very close contest who is happiest .... the girls or their new master!

Thanks Trish. I am so very lucky with these. Normally you have several visits to see whether you and the dog take to each other in any way. Harri was quite tough and it ended up with the situation being described as "Well, he allows you to walk him!"

These two are already simply lying near me, now, having realised they are not going to be taken anywhere excepting for a walk. They are not quite as closely claustrophobic with me as they were yesterday. They seem more assured.

They are very quiet, and bark only when somebody is at the door. That has happened twice today and on both occasions they stood close and just watched and listened. Phew!

Result? I have companionship again, and two "sisters" are fed, watered and warm. That's a pretty good deal, I'd say!!

    What heart warming news!
You paint an idyllic picture - you relaxing in your armchair, and the two little girls snuggled up close to you.
Dare I say that you have a companionship made in Heaven? lol!

Went to Mass this morning, leaving the dogs alone for about an hour (that includes the drive in both directions as the service is shorter than usual owing to Covid).
I gave a neighbour keys in case they were upset. When I returned the place was quiet until I opened the door whereupon there was a clamour from the girls.

It was funny as the neighbour came rushing around to see what was wrong!! So I need not worry. I'll do the same thing next week (blood test) just in case. But it does look as if they feel secure enough. I'm so glad.

Glad they are happy enough with just each other. It makes life easier.

I thought you might like to see the girls now that they have been "beautified". The grooming lady had refused to attempt Harri as he could be so nasty. The only stipulation I made today when she called was that she'd need to have them in her van together or they would cry! She did so and apparently each watched the other being shorn, bathed etc., very interested and well-behaved. They are on her list now so she will call again in about six weeks
